CNN Airport Network To Shutdown After 30 Years

CNN Airport Network is terminating its service.
CNN President Jeff Zucker announced that the network’s airport business will come to an end on march 31st. The network airs in 54 airports in the united states but is, according to reports, no longer considered profitable.
In a memo to staff Zucker blamed the Coronavirus pandemic for a reduction in air travel, and also pointed to travelers using their cell phones and other personal devices to stream the news, which he said has “lessened the need for the CNN airport network.”
CNN has been airing in airports since 1990.
In addition a new survey by business wire shows that 27 percent of us households plan to get rid of the cable tv subscriptions next year, shifting more towards streaming services.
