The 18-year-old suspect charged with killing 10 people in Buffalo in New York at the weekend, intended to kill more people when local police stopped him. The FBI is investigating the attack as a hate crime and an act of racially motivated violent extremism, as 11 of the 13 victims were black in a predominantly black neighbourhood of the city. Police are also examining a 180-page manifesto that the suspect posted online, saying the violence is in the name of white supremacy.
