Set 8 Antique Dinner Knives in 1847 Rogers Bros Popular 1924 ANCESTRAL Pattern

This is a set of eight matching dinner knives, each with hollow silver plated handles and stainless steel INSICO blades. Each knife measures 9ΒΌ” long. The pattern is called ANCESTRAL. It was manufactured by 1847 ROGERS BROS. and it dates back to 1924. There are no monograms on any of the knife handles. Be sure to view all photos included with this listing. This is a relatively heavy, very substantial set of silver – and, according to my online sources and silverware books, a very commonly collected pattern as well. It’s really lovely, with a raised early ART DECO design on each handle, including modified geometric swirls and curli-cues and teeny-tiny beading throughout. Condition is VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT for all. There’s NO pitting, NO missing silver, NO corrosion, and NO worn or dark spots on the handles – which is remarkable for such old pieces of silver. The silver is perfectly intact on all, and the stainless steel blades are very shiny. Each knife has a lovely vintage silver sheen, as illustrated in the photos.
