Off Duty Police Officer Involved Shooting during Carjacking / Newark NJ 5.21.22



5.21.22 | by Gabriel | Newark, NJ – An off duty police officer fired shots during an attempted carjacking. It happened on 25 Eckert Ave, at around 10:37 pm Friday night. Police upon arrival observed a Police officer who had fired shots after seven juveniles attempted a carjacking. The perpetrators fled on foot, possibly were found on 70 Hedden Terrace, where two males were found with gunshot wounds minutes after the carjacking. The investigation is ongoing.
